Friend: Now I've heard there was a secret chord that David played, and it pleased the Lord.
But you don't really care for music, do you?

Me: Why would you say that? I like music.

Friend: It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth

Me: Yeah, I heard that last night. It’s good.

Friend: The minor fall. The major lift.

Me: Right. I heard it.

Me: Dude. I heard the song. (To waitress) Can I get some more coffee, please.

Me: I talked to Mike last….

Me: He said that…

Me: (to waitress). Yes. cream and sugar.

Me: Next week, I….

Me: (loudly stirs coffee, stares at phone)

Me: I heard David’s song. Last night.

Me; Are you done?

Me: That’s it. I’m out.
