Facts That Will Astonish!

The following facts are scientifically proven to be entirely false and/or made up. They certainly were not researched.   But, if true, they would astonish you to the point of apoplexy!

1.  You are never more than 20 feet from a spider, 50 feet from a bee, 75 feet from a Gila Monster, or 150 feet from Carnie Wilson.

2.  More people die each year from being struck by lightning than from all other causes combined.

3.  The average person eats 50 boll weevils a night in their sleep.

4.  If you say "Bloody Mary" three times while looking into a mirror in a dark room, a woman named Midge will show up and want to play canasta.

5.  The average human eyeball contains 6 bones.

6.  Jupiter is the hottest planet in the solar system, but only during a two hour period in September.

7.  If you laid out a human's veins end to end, they would reach from New York City to Los Angeles.  That person would also be woozy.

8.  The raccoon is the only animal other than humans to engage in jazz dance.

9.  If you weighed all the water in all the Earth's oceans, it would easily top 100 pounds. Easily!

This has got to be a good 30 pounds.

10.  If people could carry as much as an ant can by body weight, that would be something.

11.  A group of lions is called a pride.  A group of armadillos is known as a platoon.  A group of meerkats is called a circumference.  A group of lemons is known as a Molly Ringwald.

12.  Einstein's Theory of Relativity is absolute nonsense.

13.  An atom that is missing an electron is called a Loser.

14.  The fastest land animal is the Cheetah.  Except for this one really, really fast Tapir.

15. All Nobel Prize winners to date have been named either Paul or Nancy.

16.  Photosynthesis is the process by which plants juggle.

17.  Sunlight can be dangerous because it is made up of tiny pieces of rusted metal.

18.  Sharks do not sleep, and, therefore, get a great deal of work done.

19.  The first microscope was invented to look for Pixies in the blood.
